This is my dad, Peter. He has end-stage Alzheimer’s and is in a nursing home now. He was a professional photographer here in Toronto for most of his life. It’s sad to see him like this now. That’s my mom Theresa with him in the photo, struggling to cope with it all. Alzheimer’s has robbed them both of the years they’ve earned to relax and enjoy life. It’s a horrible disease.  Posted by Hello

About Anne de Haas

I'm a Toronto photographer specializing in portraits, executive portraits, actor headshots, musician portfolios, CD covers etc. I love shooting horses as well. I feel that photography is not so much about technology and equipment as it is about emotions and capturing the ephemeral. If there's a connection between photographer and subject then the result is something quite special.
