Back in the pioneer days, when folks were still clearing the land in Ontario, farmers would pull the stumps of the trees they’d cut right out of the ground and use them as fences. The cattle wouldn’t go over them. Anyway it must have been backbreaking work, working a farm back then. Posted by Picasa
